Now that's just showing off gorgeous image! Whats the secret? All I ever seem to get at 30s is a blur :s

Just accuracy.. But like I said he had not had experience of the mod. I'm intrigued as to what results are achievable. I've just seen some images on another thread that are unguided and they are outstanding! Not quite sure how they have managed them. Showed me that I have not got the best out of my gear yet by a long way.

Returned advised against it although the guy had no experience with the mod. I await your subs.. Then maybe I'll take the plunge first time I have been in an astro shop and come out with the same amount of cash I went in with.. Must be something wrong with me.. They have some new RVO brand scopes in that looked good for the price but not too keen on the green colour (not that it matters in the dark) looking forward to your updates QM

Makes me feel better about it blaming someone else lol

I'm off to RVO for a neb at some new scopes they have in and depending on how daring I get I may end up leaving with the dual axis motors for this mod :s QM and Stan you are both a bad influence

That's the one of the main reasons I was going for the evostar, think that's about f/10 if I remember right but no good for DSO im told. Ive read the slower it is the less you suffer. If only the ed100 was a bit cheaper I'm eagarly awaiting the return of the buy and sell section but not sure I can wait. Thanks for the info

Its still early days for me and guiding
Well considering its early days that is one hell of a result!
Just noticed you are using a st102. How much of the fov did m42 take up using the d500? I pre ordered an evostar 102mm OTA for Luna but the supplier couldn't get one.. Seems they only come on mounts. Might have to go for the st instead after seeing this.

Thanks Stan. Will continue to watch the discussion develop do you have any examples of your guided work online?

I have watched this thread with great interest but what kind of resolution will this have? The goto upgrade states Resolution: 0.288 arc second. Not too fussed about the goto but is the extra accuracy worth the extra 200 quid? Eventually I want an eq6 but that's a little out of reach at the minute.
