    Askar FMA230, Optolong 2" LRGB, ASI 2600MM-Pro @ Celestron CGX;
    A little over 9h of LRGB integration: 555 x 15s L, 267 x 30s R, 275 x 30s G, 277 x 30s B; Gain 101, Offset 50, -10°C;
    NINA, PixInsight, Affinity Photo;
    Liverpool, Bortle 9(+).

    This is the second approach to data collected this spring. New knowledge allows for better processing, but the data was collected without the current strategy.

    This is my first LRGB image, I suppose I should work on the saturation of the galaxy, but I prefer to pull it up rather than drag it out. I expect a portion of Ha photons, so this isn't the final word yet.

    We have snails here too. Big ones. They are very slow though.

    I took the shell off one of them to see if it would go faster. If anything it was more sluggish...

    It became homeless... 🙄

  4. The Black Widow isn't the most dangerous spider there. The first place on the list is reserved for the Atrax, considered as the most deadly venomous spider in the world. But even the one doesn't attack as the first, it's rather highly defensive. Stepping on it is of course taken as the attack...

    Hello, how about banana slugs?  Or tarantula?

    Although it is mostly skunks, raccoons etc. from my garden where I observe!

    🤩

    Wow, that's the proper tarantula, not related to birdeaters commonly called tarantulas.

    Where is the picture taken?

  6. Another image of startrails as training for the Perseids, 28/07/2024.
    Canon 6D mod, Tamron 17-35mm F/2.8-4 Di OSD @ 17mm F/2.8, 1102 x 6s, ISO 6400.

    The next approach will be the other way around, e.g. ISO 500 and 60s (possibly with an L-Pro filter) to increase the chance of catching meteors. There will be a lot of retouching, but I like this type of work. :)

  7. It took me a few months to decide which sensor my Sigma 40mm Art would work with, but in the end, it turned out to be the 2600MC and I think it will be a long relationship. This required stopping down the aperture to F/2.0, but it's still a very fast setup. The following work is a test of how the APS-C will cover a centre of the Cygnus and its surroundings. Due to the high LP it was necessary to work with L-eXtreme and IDAS LPS-P2. I'm going to play around with mosaics with this set but under darker, less restricted skies.
