  1. Ah, yes. Thanks Seve. I guess, I need to practice more. But I definitely need smaller subs.
  2. I am trying to use Jocular with Kstars/EKOS. Images are FITS 16bit RAW from an ASI294mc. Fits header shows: SIMPLE = T / file does conform to FITS standard BITPIX = 16 / number of bits per data pixel NAXIS = 2 / number of data axes NAXIS1 = 4144 / length of data axis 1 NAXIS2 = 2822 / length of data axis 2 ... BAYERPAT= 'RGGB ' / Bayer color pattern ... In Jocular under "set up devices" "color space" I selected RGGB. In "channel chooser" I selected RGB. I still see a grey scale image. "filter(s) chooser shows "B", but I cannot change it. What am I doing wrong? Regards & CS Guido
  3. Correction: Periods are in seconds, not minutes! Sorry, Guido
  4. Hi Steve, Hi Stuart Thanks a lot for the log files. Quite insightful for me. Steve's Avalon Linear Reverse shows the frequency components that I would have expected (periods in minutes): 7.2 (very small), 36, 180 (very small). These are periods when a tooth of a timing belt has moved by one length for various stages in the gear reduction. Not sure what causes a period of 122.5 minutes. Interesting for me is also Stuarts log, which has different main frequencies. I somehow expected the gear rations would have been the same in all Avalon mounts. It seems the M-Zero uses different gear stages. May I ask which telescopes you were using on the mount, e.g. how much the mounts were loaded? Greetings + CS Guido
  5. Really? Nobody using an Avalon belt-driven mount with PHD2 guiding? I assume they are so good that no Avalon owner bothers to look into the "mount" forum. Greetings + CS Guido
  6. Dear Avalon Enthusiasts, Do you have PHD2 Guiding Logs that you could share? Preferably at least 30 minutes long. I am curious about the contribution to the overall error from the individual parts of the belt reduction gear. PHD2 Log Viewer provides nice analysis capabilities for that. I am especially interested in the frequency analysis. Background is that I have built a motion module that uses a timing belt gear reduction quite similar to the Avalon mounts. Performance is quite good already, but I would like to compare it to the "real thing". 😃 CS Guido
