I think they do but you have to pay for it.  When my husband had his eyes lasered at Optical Express there was an option to have replacement lenses.

Friend of mine just had this replacement lens treatment rather than laser and is really pleased.

My optician told me there is now treatment to remove floaters!

I said I've put up with these for over fifty years, why should i want to get rid of them now!

There is.  I looked in to this as I have them quite bad, but it is a very intrusive procedure, and only recommended in very extreme circumstances.  They basically replace the "gel" inside the eyeball, which is where the floaters live, and which I suspect is nothing like as easy as it sounds.

Well I've just had a nightmare with Altair Astro just trying to buy one of their guide scopes. 2 weeks nothing! Very disappointed I cancelled the order today so now I need to look for somewhere else to get a decent guide scope. I'm also going to be involved in a observatory build. They lost out there.

So guys and girls. What can I do now?

Just so you know what I've got. Skywatcher 150pds which is 750 focal length on a Eq6.  I already bought the ASI 120mm so I just need a guide scope!

Shame FLO don't have other options.

Any ideas will be gratefully received. Maybe they did me a favour if I can get something better.

    Gutted.

I believe Altair is having issues generally at the moment with their Chinese suppliers.  I was waiting 6 weeks just for a simple 15mm spacer for my Esprit, so ended up having one made.  Problem is their mini guide scopes are actually very good for that purpose, so maybe worth hanging on for a bit, or keeping a keen eye on ABS.

  4. Maybe not a supplier technically as I don't think they supply equipment direct, but I thought a mention about the superb customer service on technical support was valid.

Terry Platt is a really helpful guy, answering emails resolving my issue with a SX USB filer wheel at 8 in the evening.  Terry has personally helped twice now and I couldn't praise him and SX enough.

    Hi

I have a mount hub pro ( Ver 1 ) and are very happy with it , I was hopeing it would run the mesu

When I get set up I will give it a go

    Harry

Great stuff Harry, look forward to seeing it up and running as I can see no reason yet why my one shouldn't, but if course will never doubt anything in this hobby.

Just wondering what to power the mount with , anybody use a mount hub pro

I have just got a mount hub pro and intending using it on my Mesu which is due in March, and I'm pretty impressed with it thus far.  You can power up to 15A on 12 ports, 4 of which are permanently on and 8 switchable using the supplied software.  It certainly seems to provide a very tidy solution to a lot of cabling.  It's also handy having the 4 port due controller built in as well, which again is fully controllable in software, and with the manual dials.

Congrats on what would appear to be mini-mount compared to what you're used to.

The scrolling issue on some Android devices should now be fixed. You may need to completely close the app and reopen.

The issue was due to an update to one of the system components of Android that caused a conflict with the way scrolling works in Clear Outside.

For now we just wanted to fix this issue but we are working on improvements and new features to the app :)

Wonderful, all working smooth and dandy now.  Thanks guys good job and quick response :thumbright:  Now if you could make sure all the boxes are green all the time, that would be grand :wink2:

    Hi,

I seem to be having some issues scrolling on the Android app after one of the recent updates. If I scroll right to left it only scrolls a very minimal amount and then stops. In order to scroll through the entire week I then have to swipe repeatedly from right to left.

Interestingly though if I swipe right to left on the header part where it shows the day and solar/lunar info, it seems to scroll overly quickly.

Is anybody else having the same issue?

    Thanks

Yes same here on Galaxy S7 Edge

Put the mini PC box out in the observatory on the pier and powered it up from the mains with supplied PSU (I'll run it of the obsy main DC supply later).  Tried the WiFi but it was a bit intermittent so connected the Cat 6 cable and running wired - that works fine.  Then I tried the astro stuff.  Found I'd forgotten to install CdC so I did that and it runs.  Runs and displays the sky chart but couldn't get it to connect to the mount either directly directly or via POTH Hub :(  I checked in Device Manager and found the USB to serial adapter on Com 4.  Put that in the ASCOM settings but no joy.

Then I tried SharpCap and tried to connect to the ASI1600MM-Cool but it didn't find the camera :(

I wonder if this is a Windows 10 problem.  Have to say I'm finding Win 10 more disagreeable than other versions :(

Whilst the PC is on and running try unplugging the mount and camera and plugging them back in to different USB ports, this will reload the drivers, and will pick up a new COM port which you can then find again in Device Manager.

    I feel your pain.

May be a bit late now but have you treated the timber with any sort of preservative ?

+1  One of those little manual insecticide sprayers and even a clear coat so you don't notice overspray will stop all the bits open to damp becoming rotten very quickly.  The sprayers help you get in all the little nooks and crannies.

    Comes down to Personal preference

Thing is I'm new to AP so don't really have a personal preference, so am really looking to understand what the benefits of each method are.  Are you saying that both methods are equally as good as each other, so just pick either?

    Thanks.

  12. I currently have my AZEQ6 running via EQDirect, and use pulse guiding, which seems to produce pretty good results.  Is this the recommended method as I've seen a few mentions of people using ST4?

I use pulse guiding purely because it was the method recommended in the EQMOD manual, but wondered if you had reasons for using ST4, or whether you think I am on the right track with pulse guiding?

    Many thanks.
