Thanks guys for the replies. I don't have access to the classifieds yet I'm afraid. I'll have a look at astro buy and sell. I hope to have secured a used AZ-GTi so will need to sort out the wedge and tripod asap.

Thanks for the reply. This is only going to be used at home. I've hopefully just bought a used GTi and not sure whether I should convert it to EQ mode (which would require a wedge, pole and weights!). What are your thoughts?

Hi All, On a limited budget I'm going to put together a starter astrophotography rig consisting of an Evoguide 50ED, Skywatcher AZ-GTi goto mount, Raspberry Pi running Stellarmate and an ZWO ASI178MC camera. Can anybody recommend a tripod I could use? I know there's lots out there but there's nothing better than personal recommendations. I'm not looking for something crazily priced in case I don't enjoy the hobby. Thanks in advance Daz
