Teleskop-Express: Astro-Shop + Fotografie + Naturbeobachtung
Despite having to ship internationally, I ordered (a T2-M48 adapter) on Friday and they delivered on Monday (standard delivery method).
I also ordered something similar (T2 extension rings) from a UK supplier at the same time - I'm still waiting for that.

Tracking should be turned on. If it isnt, and guiding is working, the guiding should keep the stars reasonably still anyway - but guiding is intended as a correction to tracking, rather than to be used instead of.
If PHD won't calibrate, the first check is that PHD is actually talking to your mount (either via "on-camera" ST4, via ASCOM pulse guiding, or whatever). I think the way to do this is to use tools, manual guide - and then move the scope.

Spent hours already just looking back at previous postings and have many more to go. At least there'll be something to do when it's cloudy.

Take your focal ratio, and multiply it by 3/4. So, if you have an f/8 scope, the result is 6. If you have an f/10 scope, the result is 7.5. This result is the length in millimetres of your high power eyepiece. It will give about 2/3 of the theoretical maximum power of your scope. This is the actual maximum if you do not always enjoy perfect seeing and transparency. If you have a 100mm scope, this eyepiece will give 133x.
Thanks very much - as a beginner and hopefully soon to buy, it's very informative and hopefully it will help me avoid spending money on things I don't need.
Once I'd worked out that the "100mm scope" you used as an example throughout was actually 1000mm focal length, I could do the maths.

Another thumbs up for good service.
Ordered at 12:42 online, got a call from my wife to say it had been delivered around 16:30 the same day.
