    hi ladies and gents from south shields i have just acquired a 8 inch telescope i have a ccd camera attatched when i take a recording of the moon for instance its to close and i do not know how to video the moon from outside its diamiter any help would be apreciated its a registax 5 thank you

      Hi John, welcome. Unless your lucky enough to have a large size chip in the camera you'll have to do a mosaic.

      Or get a smaller focal length scope (maybe a focal reducer - but that can be a can of worms).

      Post a question in the imaging section and you'll get plenty of advice.
