It's really encouraging to see what this scope is capable of and it's something I'll consider further down the line.

This is my 1st real go at stacking and processing an image completely with PI, ive had it must be about 2 weeks now, i think im improving with my processing side of things
I really like both versions. The PI one is more conventional but the Photoshop one has more of your own stamp on it. It's nice to see them both side-by-side.
As toxic suggests, blending the two is an option.

Haven't forgotten this thread btw - just haven't found the time to read the rest of it. I will get around to it at some point.

I've read the first chapter now. Very well written, and I can tell you've done your homework - some subtle traps missed.

Nice to see you back on the forum Qualia. I'll have a proper read of the above sometime over the next few days.

That's looking really good thanks, bookmarked. Very handy to have the moonrise/set times right alongside the forecast. ISS passes are another nice touch. I'll add a link to it from the Caradon Observatory site.

I'm just gobsmacked, stunning piece of work.

Great thread, wonderful to see what can be achieved with relatively modest equipment. This is the kind of setup I'd buy myself, but as a flat dweller it's not really practical.

That's a wonderful effort Tom & Olly. Would love to see it in its full 8 meter glory, best of luck finding a displayer.
