  1. It's looking very promising indeed here in west Wales. Looks like I'll be struggling in work tomorrow! It also looks like I'll be resorting to substance abuse to stay awake - I've stocked up on Red Bull in anticipation.
  2. Perfect weather here in West Wales -I'm poised and waiting - so exited!! Any Minute now....
  3. Nice! It wipes the foor with my first Saturn attempt !
  4. I saw the GRS for the first time on Monday evening - with my Mak 127 using my BGO 9mm. I didn't think I'd ever manage it (I'm still newish to this hobby and just seen my 3rd winter owning a telescope). I thought I'd call in here to ask if my eyes were playing tricks on me - despite checking the 'Jupitermoons' app which confirmed that the spot was exactly where I thought it was - but it looks like the seeing was good for everyone!
  5. Nice, although on the earthrise pic, the earth appears in front of the moon's surface, not behind - or is it just me?
  6. Fantastic! Thanks for sharing.
  7. This is a great thread. I have a 600d and aspirations to produce better astro pics than I have so far, and I can't wait to give this a go!
  8. Wonderful animation! What equipment did you use to capture this Angie?
  9. Select 'No' until the clocks go forward on Mother's Day. Then form then 'yes'.
  10. I wish I'd thought of that when I was finding my feet! A word of caution to the OP though, make sure the cap is on before playing with the scope if the sun is out!
