Don't be afraid to use the 2-sigma stretch -- it uglifies things, but points up problems nicely. In fact I use it all the time to identify gradients and such. I never save an image that way -- blecch! -- but it's a very useful tool.
Is this in APP.?

Just load the file, double click it in the file list at the bottom and then check the "stretch" box on the right hand side if not already selected.
Will check that out, have the laptop imaging atm.

Personally I don't think it's anything to worry about, it looks like tiny dew spots nothing serious.

Hello all, I am thinking of upgrading from my 102ed to maybe a 5" frac, it will mostly for imaging with I bit of visual. It would be a used scope with maybe £1000 tops.It will be used with a zwo 533mc Pro.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Paul.

Help with flats
in Imaging - Image Processing, Help and Techniques
Posted · Edited by paul mc c
OK, probably need to explain better what I have done, the green image was a flat frame, I had to include one to take the dark flats. The image were the dust bunnies are flipped is probably because I had to put the image into gimp to stretch it. The darks are dark, and all times are the same in flats and dark flats. Hope this makes sense.
