The 20mm APM XWA is a bit less porky at 23.9 oz. versus 36 oz. for the 21mm Ethos. It's also considerably cheaper and within 90% of the performance of the Ethos. Probably stray light control is the biggest difference. TV really pays attention to the details.
I have the Myriad version and it’s a close runner to the 21 Ethos at £500 less I must admit I like the Panoptics range they offer nice crisp clean views I tend to use them more than 100° ones I have and even the Delos I have

Love the colour but the finish and quality look a bit suspect

Hi Jeremy yes it’s the C11 I had the C14 Edge but it was a beast to manage this is just right

I put mine out early evening and left the cap off for a couple hours

I found with the two I owned it needed several hours to cool and not to leave it out if it’s warm outside they are sensitive to heat and cool down

It does make the coma reports like what your describing when you say a while what are we talking

Hi Kerry very surprised it’s out of collimation they usually are super tough on travelling did you allow plenty of cool down the Mewlon does require more than most avoid bobs knobs at all cost the collimation screws are very tight and only require a very small tweak

I had the Edge CPC 11 it was a heavy scope as John says I got rid of due to that fact and have now just brought another 😂

Andrew bought his from FLO, to whose website my comment applies.
Glad he's getting it sorted now, that's what matters 🙂
Never any doubt

I think I would have assumed the shelf came with the Nexus DSC too. Looking at the site it doesn't show the shelf under the "frequently bought with this product" section, so is easily missed.
Shame about the bent altitude knob. I do think this mount needs more robust packaging. FLO did a good job with the amount of flo-pack they crammed in, but your experience goes to show that the mount is heavy enough to make contact with the outer packaging given enough of a thump. Moulded polystyrene would be the best bet I suppose, but acknowledge the fact that Rowan are only just getting going with this mount.
Hopefully you get it all sorted asap and can start to enjoy your purchase
I purchased mine direct from Rowan and found the packaging was substantial along with info about the shelf directly below the mount under the accessories listed

Simple question, far longer explanation:
If you had a plan for a bigger Refactor, did you do it?
I have a very fine Vixen ED103s f7.8 scope, I enjoy using it a great deal and will continue to do so for a long time.
However having had larger reflectors, the additional aperture has shown me more on some targets.
The problem I have is that my interests are broad.
So a ponder for the future, but which effects the present as well.....
If I have larger refractor in a few years time, it will need a hefty mount as I want a 5-6".
The present is I am looking at adding a new mount to my newly fitted pier, that mount will need to service the bigger scope.
So the underlying issue is, am I having a aperture fever moment and it is costing in advance? or
should I just do a heavier mount and future resist, not proof my set up.
This as per my signature is Visual kit.
So Alan yes I did it and both the mounts your considering will handle that fine

Why do some observers not "get on" with binoviewers

I’ve just had some of the best planetary Bino views tonight that I’ve ever had Mars looked stunning as did the big boys
I think if you get a set up that matches it’s a pleasure but I had many failures early on and gave up three times before I got a good set up
