  1. To be fair I think it is changing definitions, but I made same mistake
  2. Actually I was refering to a 2d triangle drawn on a sphere A 4 sided 4 dimensional pyramid portrayed in 3 dimensions might qualify
  3. It's ok I lied about having a Ferrari branded fridge
  4. Lol I have a Ferrari branded fridge for my Ferrari projects.
  5. I would if I could but it's too heavy 4.5" newt might just be ok.
  6. Try it with different older flats, or, brand new ones if you don't have any old ones. Unlikely to work but it's an easy quick test My image data was ropey but I can see how nice yours is underneath
  7. cheers for this. f5 in f4 tube had also occurred to me. need to have a good read of this link for extra inspiration
  8. how the hell did he steal my design so fast? did he post evidence of his misdeeds on here so i can steal, er i mean borrow, his hard work?
  9. Have you tried using different flats? Maybe from a few days ago. Probably won't help but it's a quick test
  10. Lol it may take me some time to finish. Atm I'm stuck deciding on a name for it. TiffsandAstrograph is currently leading. It won't be f2 unless there are actually f2 mirrors in production. I have seen a camera cradle/basket for use on a Rasa that could be repurposable. I'm aiming for a very budget Rasa alternative. Coma corrector obviously complicates it a bit
  11. I think they'd mention it if it was parabadaloidalol My innovative design is basically extending a Newtonians ota enough that I can remove the secondary and dangle a camera a bit further away from the primary from where the secondary was Just a couple of issues to sort
  12. but it has a carbon fibre effect (i assume) ota anyway im currently working on my own novel design
  13. so as i didn't win the blue one, im still looking. seen a few of these and it seems very hard to determine if its a bad bird jones type or not. seems to be 114mm aperture, 600mm FL and F5.2 any obvious clues? im guessing as celestrons specs don't mention the mirror, chances are its a spherical one? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166728244627?_nkw=cometron&epid=20043686765&itmmeta=01J5JY5VZHY4YJBK1V9JBY2YJE&hash=item26d1c71d93:g:dG0AAOSwL3pmJ37D&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA4HoV3kP08IDx%2BKZ9MfhVJKn3vVbSh6An5nmifO20ITIOrS1cLDdejklcS1Jag7ENqkundmWvBjeBlVDaFLt0gg9yiPiK9c6fvw5ioivQMNOM4r0G85%2F%2B4SdMtneOAjj5vRD88MJKCVh5jcmkrcj1Qo8ciJ79kzrHPZPkZo5URcyqZx%2FuXZKM64CiunHoUfJ3Nk0kWwMN%2BcD%2Fl2G2jj7IUcInjjn8xetUspul6L%2FyK3aHaP%2FuBEEpfqoQk3AeFMST59rOOBKjfHVojIbkKiafArw3Pm9XlR7TqLRIcGaEMYuf|tkp%3ABk9SR-i_l96sZA
  14. ok, im a beginner so please take this with a pinch of salt. im pretty sure i put a similar post up about 6 weeks ago, convinced i had walking noise even though i dither. I re-shot my flats and used them to re-stack in siril and the issue went away. if you've nothing else to do, shoot some new flats maybe with the light a little brighter and see if that fixes it. it won't if it is walking noise, but no harm in giving it a go.
  15. Fwhm/hfr definitely varys from one setup to another. I was more trying to say get a feeling for own gear and try to get close or better to the best you've seen it do. Also, I'm not saying 2.09 is good for my gear, it's just the lowest hfr I've seen.
  16. Was Your freezer was already full of other large cameras, I assume.
  17. did you stack lights darks biases and flats in siril? you can make a dark library in day time, but you still need to have them match tempreture. i cool my 533 down to -5c which should be doable for my camera even in the heat of an english summer night
  18. I Use hfr in Nina which is vaguely similar. 2.09 is the best I've gotten on my gear, so I aim to get close to that.
  19. Anthony Hopkins feeding ray liotta his own brain seems to be the closest modern science has gotten.
  20. I can make a triangle whose internal angles total more than 180 degrees so should be np
