I just stumbled upon this and am amazed by how detailed your guide is @westmarch But unfortunately my latitude is 36 N and I saw that Reiner Vogel doesn't have templates for that latitude. If I figured out how to make the curves for my latitude, what other adjustments would I need to make? I have an 8 inch Orion dob for context. If your method is not possible for 36 N (even with the correct curve), what is another simple method that you would suggest? I heard of Ed Jones's method but it looks quite complicated and as a beginner, I don't really understand it and am not sure if I could do it.
