  1. The cam is connected via USB straight into my pc. This is only a daylight test, without my mount, only the guide cam in the guide scope. I can’t test it outside because of the weather. I had a chance to take the whole mount out only once, but the cam froze and my laptop froze since it was freezing outside. But even then, in the darkneds, the PHD2 didn’t show anything but white blank screen. That’s why I am testing it now. When I open the PHD2 and do the whole procedure following the instructions all I get is a white screen in the looping window. When I move the slider down all I get is a noise from the darkfiles. The only way for the cam to show something is when I run the ASI studio in the background. But only for a short time. In a minute or two, the PHD2 looses connection to the camera. that’s about the whole story
  2. the log file https://openphdguiding.org/logs/dl/PHD2_logs_WRW3.zip
  3. as before, PHD2 works (somehow) if the ASI studio is in the backgroud.
  4. if I test the cam in the ASI studio, it works. Are you sure, the PHD2 is any good? Loosing faith already.
  5. Done, connected.....and again just noise
  6. No idea about this though, I'll just skip it

  8. And this with ASI on. It only says something about lost cam, but it moves (even in yet another snowfall).
  9. This is what it looks like, when I start PHD2 alone
  10. If I don’t, PHD2 won’t turn the cam on. When I run ASIstudio, PHD2 works too.
  11. Re-installed the PHD2 and now it seems to be a little more stable. Clouds are coming so I can't test the guiding again. No clear skies for another 9 days, according to the weather forecast. Only 2 partial clear nights since last October I wonder, do I always have to run ASi studio if I want PHD2 to run the camera?
  12. So, testing testin at the daytime. After a struggle the cam suddenly showed the antena on my neighbours roof. Oh yeah, one more step. Let's hope it stays clear until tonight.
  13. I only plugged it in, didn't touch the settings. I was in a hurry, had to do the polar alignment twice, because the handheld froze and clouds started to cover the sky again. Does the cam or the PHD2 have to be connected to the internet? My laptop has no longer wifi ( froze )
  14. Actually no, I never got it to guide. I only pressed the "looping" icon. Then I got stuck and never touched the slider bar.
  15. No, the cover was off. I managed to check that For the rest of your questions --> I don't know. It was -12 degrees and the clouds were coming fast. I never tried the cam during the day and I don't have other apps to test it just yet. It will be cloudy for the next week, we are expecting plenty of new snow
  16. what a surprise. There was a semi clear sky for couple of hours. I managed to set everything, do a polar and star alignment. Then I opened the PHD2, connected my cam, mount on a cam, did the dark library and started looping. That's the moment where I got stuck. The cam screen stayed white. Not noise white, only white. I checked all the cables, restarted everything, reconnected everything..... No help. The looping screen just stayed white. Am I doing something wrong again?
