    If you want to prove it to yourself you could always unscrew the base plate. I don’t have the experience to try that myself. In any case, none of this detracts from the excellent review and comparison.

    Looking at my 1 year old 2” TV Everbrite diagonal right now, and the base plate is definitely metal, not plastic or resin.
