My apologies for the very late reply. My email settings where nok. Looked into it a bit as well, with an old RPi 2b. Indeed those uart details seem not able to be set indeed. Maybe i'll purchase the BT dongle someday, but i believe for now i'll be throwing in the towel on this one. Thanks for the details though, learned a ton!

Sorry for the bump and hoping you're still around, but did you ever get it to work? You see, I'm trying the same thing now. Have got things working with WiFi, but was/am hoping to go BT, directly to skysafari...
