but what to put in the top right space?
Some very nice glass in there Alan! I see you have a taste for the Hyperwides so I would suggest one of these top left.....:-)

Go for it Alan, I have a feeling your eye watering collection will overshadow whatever storage solution you use :-)

I made one earlier this year, cant post pic but theres a page on it here
http://www.astro-baby.com/articles/Eyepiece%20Case/Eyepiece%20Case%20Project.htm
Scroll down to tha last bit of the page and there are some pics of the finished item.
Wow!, now thats what I call a work of Art AB. The eps are none to shabby either :-)

A sad day indeed. RIP Sir Patrick.

Very nice!!

Lookin good Shane! Every time I see a case with BGO's, I start to really regret selling the few I had. I convinced myself I couldn't get on with them in a manual dob at high powers, but I realise now it was probably more a case that I wanted to experiment with something else!!

The Paracorr is for the new scope Damo, I tried it in the 12" but it wouldnt focus and since the 12" is going I can't really be bothered to take the focuser off to increase the FL to make it work with the Paracorr, I'm quite happy with coma at f/5 anyway really.
Ah I see, thanks Mike.
-
Very nice Mike!
Do you find the Paracor makes much of a difference to the views in your 12" scope?

At the moment I have a cabitnet to keep my eyepieces it, this is why I want to get rid of some but no one seems to like what I have. Maybe everone is short of money.
Alan.
I wonder if you were to advertise them on UK Astro Buy & Sell would you have more luck Alan? A lot of members on here don't have access to the classifieds section, so a lot of potential buyers may be missing out on some nice ep's.

Lookin good John! I'm keeping an eye out for a 5mm XW to complete a 10, 7, 5mm set. I don't think I'll bother with the 3.5mm though, 428x would rarely, if ever be used! Good luck with trying to squeeze that 4mm in!!

Final Update, well i think i have what i want and the next Scope will be a Dob they will work in both....
Some seriously impressive glass in there mate :-)

Lookin' good Michael :-)

+1

Just received my first new eyepiece, so I decided to post my quite empty case
It may be quite empty now but I would look at it as the start of something beautiful , and bank account draining
-
Ah hindsight, i could do with a good dose of that myself (case in question 28mm UWAN for one) The Baader Aspherics don't come up for sale that often so they must be pretty well regarded by their owners.
-
How do you feel your choice of FL in the hyperions worked with the 200P ?
I felt at the time they worked pretty well but if i was starting again i would skip the 24mm and go for the 31mm. The 8mm was my favorite and much preferred it with the 28mm tuning ring to the 5mm BGO.

You mean like this one
Yep, just like that one Keith. I managed to resist, this time

Lovely set damo, a real inspiration for me to work towards (the set never being finished ya know ). What happened to the antares 1.6 barlow?
In your 200p you get 46x, 92, 120, 150, 184, 240 and 300x if I am right.
and the 12" GSO 57x, 115, 150, 187, 230, 300, 375. A great range of magnifications mate.
Also, whats the middle object at the bottom of your case in the right hand picture?
Thanks Adam. You are spot on with the magnifications mate. I think i have most bases covered. I actually don't have the Antares 1.6x anymore. The guy i bought the 10mm XW from also had a wanted add for an Antares so i used it in part exchange. Having the 10mm i didn't need it any more as the Powermate/10mm XW gives me the same as the 8mm/Antares 1.6x. I think the object you are referring to in the bottom middle is the Antares 2"-1.25" SCA (with an Astro Engineering Posh Dust Plug stuck in it that i use as a colli cap) To the right of that is a 28mm Baader fine tuning ring that i attach to the Ethos if i want to use a filter.

Thanks guys. I know what you mean Michael, although i say i am complete it would be very hard to resist a 7mm XW if one were to pop up for sale. They are fabulous ep's.
-
Thanks John, keeping it as minimal as possible was indeed the plan

Wow!!, great collection Stu. I would say you have every angle covered, and then some!
I'll have to post a pick of my final collection but not until i get some new foam. The old flight case has been rearranged so many times in the last 12 months it is a bit of a shambles to say the least.
-
Thanks Alan.
As requested, I have attached a rotated version of the case.
I fit my eyepieces upside down so that they stand on the barrel when you transport them (holding the handle). Since doing this I no longer have an issue with the TV caps working their way loose.
The trouble with astronomy is that it requires an infinite bank balance for very finite number of viewing opportunities each year! Buy hey ho, it's all worth it.
Rob
Very nice indeed Rob.
Show me your eyepiece/accessories case, please.
