The "Chinese Dragon" Nebula - NGC6559 - May/June 2024
A close up into the ”Chinese Dragon” Nebula, a region of star Formation Region East of the Lagoon Nebula - NGC6559 and IC4685 in Sagittarius.
This photo consists of narrowband data aligned as standard SHO, Hubble Palette, with added colorised H-Beta signal into the mix to balance out the color hues.
This object was imaged through narrowband filters on nights during May and June for a total integration time of 46 hours, 14 minutes and 30 seconds through all four narrowband filters (SII, Ha, OIII and Hb) and RGB wideband filters.
Exposed through a C8 SCT at f6.3 with a QHY268M camera cooled to -10°C.
