Image of the great Orion Nebula, M42 or NGC 1976, taken in natural color through my 8" SCT at a focal length of 2032mm using an astro modded and (the recently) cooled Canon 40D DSLR.
Total exposure time was just 1 hour 21 minutes and 45 seconds, image consists of 15 x 15sec, 12 x 30, 60, 120 and 180 second subs at ISO1600.
