Early hours of the 1st May 2016. 127mm. Meade Apo with 2.5xBarlow and QHY5v planetary camera with IR filter. At last the jet stream decided to turn North before it passed over our backyard. So this is probably my best image of Jupiter in 2016. Io was occulted by Jupiter as I watched. The GRS was well displayed along with a large white oval just above the North Equatorial Belt. Really nice night, plenty of galaxies visible close by in Leo, Virgo and Coma Berenices and a number of meteors (presumably Eta Aquarids) were seen.
