Red,

Inspiring images!!

Out of interest do you think this camera is at all suitable for remote video observing use - ie telescope and camera outdoors (cold!!) -Observing indoors (warm!!)?

The scope being on either CG5 or Skywatcher AZ goto (controlled via Stellarium). Viewing would be on a separate monitor - I would also need to look at an electronic focuser. Considering using my Orion (US) ED80.

From what I understand the camera settings aren't capable of being controlled by the computer directly but once they have been set up do they need to be continually adjusted as you observe different objects? - Or do Phil's recommended settings generally meet most requirements? Or does the camera adjust itself to the prevailing observing conditions?
