Hey up neighbour!! Glad to see you made it into the blog world... I've subscribed to your blog in order to follow your progress with the creation of the Le CHEZ observatory and viewing platform. I would be very happy with the level paved area you have at present..my garden is grass and it slopes, but as it's a private rented house, can't do much about it. Anyway, I'll be watching your progress with the Le CHEZ observatory with keen interest. all the best with the project.

Found your blog at last lol - nice garden for astronomy - do you have a clear (ish) view to the south?

OK The Greenhouse has gone now.

and where it was stood is slabs

Malc is going to take 1 or 2 of the slabs up

and since I Prefer viewing with Binoculars he is going to concrete the tripod legs in the ground.

I Have a Swivel stool to sit on.

and I Will get to see 3 ways then.

here are some pic of the garden and the views we get, not bad really except for the trees,

but the gap between them is where Jupiter is the last pic,

so we get a really good view of that.

and the second pic is where you see the 2 houses on your left,

right above is Where Cassiopeia is

the 3rd pic between the houses, you can see the Ursa Minor the Little Dipper,

we have replaced 3 of the white outdoor lights for red ones

which we switch on when we are out there.

1 white one is still there and comes on and off on a timer

the one over what was the fountain.but now has plants in.

That is when we havan't clouds..........

I see the 'Le Chez' observatory is comming along....I must say you have much better views from your back than I have from mine. I can only see well to the North and South and a limited view to the SE. I need a sunken bungalow in a big flat field !!!
