Astronomy supplies in manchester

Hi all

I'm currently living in northern ireland but will be heading over to manchester next thursday. I've been interested in astronomy for the past year or two and am about ready to get a telescope. i'm hoping someone can direct me towards any shops in or around manchester where i can see some scopes. I've read plenty of reviews online etc but i'd like to see somthing firsthand before i buy. also if any shops have a good selection of astro books that would be a bonus.
