Only 5 x 450s and 3x900s so far as this is more of a test of imaging through the 8" since the mount rebuild...

Just waiting for the first 30 min subs to come in...

Since the rebuild it looks like I am purely Sky background limited to the sub length...which is nice...

Got to keep pushing the Little ol' DSLR with everyone moving to dedciated astro CCD's

Only problem is if you do lose a 30 min sub for any reason it will really hurt

Forecast is cloud clearing this evening and then clear till 2 am so i might be able to add another 4-5 hours tonight...

I know what you mean, I managed 900s for the first time on Saturday and the first sub that rolled in had a sat trail right through the nebula.

Subsequent subs were all good and median stacking sorted out the trail on the first one.

you must have that fork mount well and truly nailed down and sorted for those sorts of sub lengths

It has been an interested exercise getting it to work the way I wanted too with all the extra kit that I have installed and the fact its sitting on the wedge... The method I employed to sort out the bearing surfaces is not for the faint hearted though....

Last PE analysis was Average +0.22 and -0.22 arc secs and last nights graphs were even smoother... I also found that there was far less dec corrections being made after I did a 1 star EQ alignment than when I do a 2 star one the error in PA is around -2 mins in both axes and would be a PITA to get that out but with stars like that at 30 mins I think i will leave well alone ....
