Ic 405, Flaming Star,

ultranova

Recommended Posts

Hi Every one, I was lucky enough to dodge a few clouds

on Friday night and end up with Ic 405 the Flaming star Nebula

Amounting to only 3 hours of subs, L was 2 hours bin in HA  10 minutes subs

and the colour was bin 2 at 2 minutes subs each colour for 20 minutes each.

The Ha colour combination came out way to pink, see below

post-23517-0-05210000-1453044713_thumb.p

so after spending a lot of time in PS I ended up with this, the stars

have more colour and its not pinkish,

But for some reason I ended up in the HA( L)channel some banding

down one side, I can not see it in the colour data ? and it appears on every

sub, Has any one had this before on the Atik 838L+ see below

for a over the Top stretched image.

Thanks for the Link Olly , much appreciated

The strange thing is it appears on all of my  subs,

unprocessed with no flats, just check my flats for

the HA channel and they look fine ?

Going on the side of Paranoid I have been checking over

the other pictures I have taken lately, the dark band is there

in a quick HA horse head I started whilst waiting for my main

target to appear In the HA channel, strange thing is I did not really

notice it at the time, but now I am conscious of it I shall be looking for it.

The only difference is, is where I have placed my light pollution filter

it is now at the front of the EWF2 filter wheel attached to the R/F

where as it used to be between the camera and the filter wheel.

Does that have something to do with it or not I cant say,  but I shall

go fourth and do lots of reading to see what I can work out what the

issue is.
