October 13, 2015: Quiet sun, but still some interesting stuff

Recommended Posts

Had a quick H-alpha session just now, and the disk looks pretty quiet. The fairly low hedgerow on the south-eastern limb I imaged on Sunday has turned into quite a nice filaprom, and another short, stubby prom is visible on the north-east. On the disk, a large area of quite angry looking plage takes centre stage (albeit just below and to a touch to the east of centre). Off-band a small sunspot can be seen in that area. A few filaments adorn the disk, but they are fairly short.
