Aurora from my All Sky Camera - 28/08/15

Recommended Posts

Hi,

There was a short Aurora last night and luckly my All Sky Camera caught it, despite the glare of a nearly full moon.

This image is from 00:15, no aurora present, just lots of moon related light pollution.

Then 5 minutes later, a red glow appears in the NNW (just right at the top of the image).  The best ones are around 00:30 ~ 00:35, shown in the following sequence.

Then 20 minutes after it started it was all over.

Finally an image from the Aurora Watch system showing the event sometime after midnight.
