PE and Guiding

I have ignored periodic error and relied purely on guiding. As I plan on NB imaging once the Wx improves I am wondering if PEC should be implemented. How much time does this add to setup? Do you record the PE once and replay it for future sessions?

I don't understand why the filter you use has anything to do with PE. If guiding gives you good results, that won't change by going NB. Will it?

I mentioned the filter as most seem to use much longer subs when using narrowband filters. I was thinking that these long (20 min+) exposures might be more sensitive to PE. But then again any sub equal to or longer then the period of the worm gear would show the full error also. I guess I am trying to figure if the extra step of setting up PEC before each session would pay a dividend.

Guiding will generally take out PE and improve the general level of accuracy.
