Hi all:

When using Firecapture with a DBK21 do I have to set all the dbk cam settings to default so Firecapture can do it's magic.....or?

Hope this isn't too silly a question, but not sure what procedure would be.

Hi Roger,

I have found this page :--- http://www.opticstar.com/Run/Astronomy/Astro-Imagers-ImagingSource.asp?p=0_10_0_9_16 , from it I think your assumption is correct so that firewire is used , but USB2 is just as fast. Using proper firewire conx should power the camera.

My great grandad went to Northern Saskatchewan and the Northern Territories (Lutselke??)fur trapping (i am in my 50's), as a youngster I remember seeing a patchy black and white pic of his emergency shelter, some branches propped up to make a triangular long shape like a toblerone!....Something I shivered with a few years ago as in Alberta in -52.

Thanks for your info...much appreciated.  Sounds like your great grandad make a shelter like a teepee(?)  Quite a few First Nations trappers in our north yet, though these days more a lifestyle than making good money like in the past.

Yeah, it does get cold in the great white north ...some winters are not too bad though...we did have quite a stretch of -30's celsius this winter.
