M45 DSLR LRGB

Well I was supposed to be installing my goto system this weekend but all my parts were held up in Denver due to bad weather. So I reprocessed some M45 data using LRGB this time around.

7D2 400mm f5.6 20 shots at 90sec ISO 1600. Processed in Pi.

Yes, you have no L data from a one shot colour camera. You can extract a synthetic lum from your RGB (a good idea) but that is not equivalent to lum. Theory suggests that it might be 1/3 as efficient as lum but my own experiments would put it closer to 1/4.

I'd keep an eye on those greens. Very dominant in the second image, I reckon.
