EQMOD Custom Slew Rates

Pinpoint

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Thought I'd be clever and set up a nice progression of slew rates in all of the 10 available slots, then found that there are a couple of rates, 200 & 400 that the mount does seem to like so much at least noise-wise. Is there a way to clear the custom slew rates you've set up, maybe a file I have to delete somewhere?

Thanks

Pete

You can reasign the rate preset values at anytime via the setup program - and you can also set how many rates there are - so just reduce the number from 10 to 8 and reassign the x200 and x400 values as required.

Or you could just try changing the x200 rates and x400 rates to something slightly different - some rates are just noisey than others due to the resonant frequencies set up in the variuos mechacnical componets and stepper motor coils.

If you really want to you can edit and save the the eqmod.ini file (the toolbox lets tou do this) there is a section in there that looks like this:

[slewrates]
RATEBTN_4=4
RATEBTN_3=3
RATEBTN_2=2
RATEBTN_1=1
InitalPreset=1
RATE_4=800
RATE_3=64
RATE_2=8
RATE_1=1
COUNT=4

or if you are really desparate you can just delete the eqmod.ini file and a new one will be created with defaults assigned (but that is defaults for everyhing!)

Chris.
