Just found the Polarscope LED dimmer on the hand set, with the LED set on 4% stars can just be made out through reduced haze.

Using the EQ6-R I recently bought for the first time. I'm trying to get a polar alignment fix using the polar scope, I've made sure the hole in the Dec axis isn't blocking the polar scope I've turned on the mount, but all I can see is a red haze thro the polar scope eyepiece, focusing makes no difference to the view through the eyepiece. Any advice on what the problem is and how to proceed muchly appreciated. Pictures Attached... EQ6R Polar Scope 1: Taken thro the polar scope eyepiece.
