FSQ 106ED Reduced and Rotating Solved?

This has been an imposibility due to the mininmal travel provided on the scope.

But I think I have finally in theory cracked it.

Tak do an adapter which sits the reducer into the CAA this comes with the 106EDXII and has been confirmed working with the 106ED.

its not quiet right as the notch to lock against the Rack to hold it in place is not quiet the same as the 106 draw tube as it has two rails, but a little work could address this.

With this and the adapter to connect the CAA to the 106 Drawtube There is about 5-8mm I think of backfocus still, so in theory this coudl do it.

Any thoughts?

I presume this is for remote operation?  The device looks nicely engineered.

Earl have you looked at the Pyxis rotators sold by Ian King - these look to be possibly a more refined version of the rotator, everything is nicely enclosed, no open belts or anything. See this link: http://www.iankingimaging.com/show_product.php?id=1554

Hi Martin, there look great but eat up large chuncks of backfucus, on the 106 with reducer there is about 14mm to play with tops

Again it also adds to much backfocus due to the way it adds an adapter on the CAA.
