Here's my blitz on globulars for July 1st in short session from dusk to midnight from London eg quick and dirty - full data on top of image - hope you like 'em

Can someone remind me who the astronomer was from last century that noted the clustering of globulars around Sagittarius indicated the centre of the Milky Way - TIA

Harlow Shapely. He used Leavitt's period-luminosity relation to make a roughy 3D map of the globular distribution after a 'wing and a prayer' calibration of some variables within range of parallax distance estimation. The last nail in the coffin of a human-centric universe!

Nice colllection of lesser known globs. WOnderful things.

Thanks Olly - I was in the right ballpark :-) I agree decentred humanity but that each and everyone is the unique centre of the universe seeing just a liitle bit in his/her favoured direction but it may be hard to prove:-)
