Last of the Season: M42 The Orion Nebula, NGC1977 The Running Man (RGB)

2011 has been a non-started for me, with rubbish weather and loads of technical problems. This is the only thing I've managed to do so far, and with astro dark about to dissapear in Scotland, it will be the last until August.

The 77ED is now gone to good home, with a 101EDII due to replace it, which should make a quite exiting start to next season. Until then it's bring on the summer and some nice sunshine!!

Camera: Atik 383L+ Mono with Baader 1.25″ RGB

Scope: Borg 77ED with 0.85x Reducer @ F5.5

Mount: EQ6 with EQMOD

Guiding: Orion ST80 with QHY5

Capture Software: CCD Commander, Maxim DL

Processing Software: Deep Sky Stacker, PixInsight

Exposures: 4 x 15mins (each colour) = 3 hours

Calibration: 100 Bias, 100 Flats (per colour), 100 Darks
