Can't install DSS on my laptop? HELP!!!

Hi all

Ok, I'm trying to contact the guy who made it for help, but with just an hour or two to get the problem solved before I head to Kelling Heath, I am getting a bit desperate.

I installed DSS on my desktop a few weeks back with no problems at all...

I am now trying to install it on my laptop to take with me... but it always gets 90% of the way through installing then comes up with this error message:

'policy.8.0.Microsoft.VC80.MFC,type="win32-policy",version="8.0.50727.4053",publicKeyToken="1fc8b9a18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86". Please refer to Help and Support for more information.

Help and support offers neither so I am somewhat stuck.

I've done a search online and can find no relevant info about this and the DSS site has zero troubleshooting help, doesn't even list system compatibility so I can't find out if there's an issue there.

I'm running Windows 7 on the machine but DSS claims to be Win7 compatible...

Anyone got the faintest idea what any of that message means and if there's any way I can fix the issue asap?

Run the installer with admin privellages maybe? havent used win7 yet so cant be more specific... you used to have to do this with some apps under vista...

Try right-clicking the installer and choose "run as administrator"
