How to make use of random ebay lens set?

Hi folks

This ebay post caught my eye earlier:

OBJECTIVES LENS SET - OPTICS FOR TELESCOPE - 145mm dia on eBay (end time 05-Apr-11 15:10:00 BST)

It's an f/5.7ish 145mm plano-convex lens with a hole in the middle, and a weak meniscus lens of the same diameter with a mirrored coating across part of it. No idea where they should normally belong, but maybe it would be possible to build some sort of catadioptric with these, like the rough design below?

I've added a flat mirror in the middle which could be mounted on the end of a bit of tube fixed to the inside of the primary lens using the hole provided.

Ridiculous idea?
