Indeed - the one on the SW limb is exceptionally bright - looks like the sort that might "lift off" (turn into a coronal mass ejection) but timing is very unpredictable.

Do watch it if you have clear skies ... I got a quick look but the skies are now clouding over 8-(

The SW one seems to be changing very rapidly, but I think I've missed most of the action... I saw a medium-sized very bright loop which quite changed over 20 minutes between cloud gaps.

Still, the NE one is still nice to look at.

Was lucky to catch the SW prom inbetween the cooking duties (clear skies all day in London :hello2: ). Amazing, it developed from Brian's shot into a giant question mark at least 3 times the size of the photo shot.

And after another 20 min when I wanted to show it to the wife it was gone. The speed of these proms must be, well fast.

I definitely have to get myself some sort of snap shop equipment for my Lunt.
