Skywatcher Eq5 Mods

Hi

I am awaiting the arrival of a eq5 non goto and no motor drives at present and was wondering what modification can be made so that it works better. I have read about stripping it down and putting better grease inside

Are there any other suggestions as too new parts etc that can improve it ?

You can buy replacement bolts for the fine adjustment for polar alignment. Other than that I wouldn't strip a new unit down as it would void the warranty.

It's not a new mount so warranty isn't an issue
