Eyepieces for Celestron 130EQ

Recommended Posts

The received wisdom seems to be that a cheap scope will benefit from a decent eyepiece-can any celestron owner suggest an eyepiece in the 32mm that would both enhance viewing and not cost more than the telescope did?By all accounts my 5" scope is considered fast-not that I understand that description-and therefore demands a quality eyepiece. What constitutes a decent eyepiece at this level?

I've been told that £30-£40 EP's will improve the scopes view. (I've for the MD version.)

In another post people suggested televue lens's (expensive) and the BST explorer series 1.25" Eyepieces are a reasonable upgrade.

The one common point that is raised on EP's is that its likely you will take a good set of EP's onto your next scope when you upgrade so get the best you can afford.
