Did i see the eskimo?

So with my go to scope I spent some time playing with it, and among the things I saw tonight, were NGC 2264, and what I think is the eskimo nebula, now to be sure, there was a star next to what looked to be a very tiny fuzzy ball... was that it?

ngc 2392 is a little north from there, what ep was you using?

Oh, I know that it is, it was just one of the things I saw tonight, I dont remember what kind of eyepiece I used, it was my smallest I think which is either a 6mm or 8mm.

may well be! a fine object thats often overlooked imho

Why couldn't I see nebulosity in the Christmas tree.. Need a special filter? Or just better observing skills?
