moon gazing

hi guys

looking at the moon tonight through my celestron 127slt, using 24 eyepiece then using 2x barlow brill image of a crater with 2 dots in it, girlfriend wants to no the name of crater??. anyway i asking why is it i put 9mm eyepice on with my 2x barlow and it will focus ok but there is blur in the right hand of the view, am i overpowering it??

There is a nice website called LunarRepublic.com that has a free lunar atlas. You click on the area of the moon you are interested in, and a more detailed map comes up. Then just mouse over the map and names are revealed.

It doesn't name everything (far from it) but it is pretty good and the price is certainly right.

If you get more hard core into the moon, I'd recommend the Hadfield lunar atlas (very beginner friendly).
