Jim, great write up.

For me I would recommend a leisure battery, particularly if you are going to charge your laptop as well. They are designed for the long drain that our kit will give them.

I have one 75AH leisure battery spare and an 18AH gel battery that could be used as a back up. Of course it also depends on how far you want to carry it all!!
