Frame quantity needed?

Recommended Posts

Well, my SPC900 arrived this morning... & it's all ready to go (just need the flamin' rain disappear)!

Now, my scope is a Celestron 130 SLT (130mm aperture, 650mm focal length (f5)). I was wondering, roughly, how many frames should I take for imaging the Moon, Jupiter, maybe Saturn, and the Sun (I have a solar filter ready and waiting) through RegiStax to get a half decent image at the end?

I know this is one of those 'how long is a piece of string' questions, but a general ball park figure as a guide to start with would be ideal.
