Well, this is my first image of the new year, as well as being the first time out with the scope for well over a month.

I had big plans for last night, I thought it would be a great time to try and get my guidingsetup working. The Astro GODs had other plans!

I set up my kit, out came my new Synguider... After spending over an hour trying to see something on the screen, with no luck, I gave up.

I decided to have a go at M42 again, and as soon as I staterd capturing, a frozen fog appeared, and cloud came over.

I did a really bad polar alignment, and when i started capturing M42 was not central. I cropped the image, and noticed that mu FF doesnt seem to work as well as it should ;).

Well anyway less talking, and here it is...

Megrez 72, HEQ5, Canon 500D

WO Field Flattener, SW LPR Filter

70 x 60 sec subs

ISO 400

Outside Temp at about -3 (Very Cold... I hated having to pack it all away)
