Orion - more of a question

Here is a beginners attempt at stacking in DSS and then tweaking around in Photoshop. Is it possible to keep the foreground trees in focus when stacking? I'm finding processing a bit of a nightmare so any advice on how to make this better is greatly appreciated.

I was chatting with Kev (Photosbykev) about this lastnight he recons use a single frame for the "foreground"

Still havent tried it yet...

You mean you cant really stack images with a foreground terrestial interest? I was thinking that might be the case.
