Synscan slewing limits

Recommended Posts

Having upgraded my Synscan handset from V3.06 to V3.07 (thanks for advice on this), I have been exploring the maximum elevation (Alt) I can use with my scope.

Can get up to about 85 degrees before it will foul on the tripod legs.

Accordingly I set slew limits at 82 degrees to give some margin of safety, whilst maintaining maximum sky-cover.

However when I slew it using the manual buttons (I have not tried auto- just in case!) it doesn't stop at 83 degrees but continues on beyond.

Am I missing something here :)?
