Very pleased with my Syscan AZ Goto mount, but I do find that at mags over 80-100X it does shake when I focus. (even when legs only half extended)

Also eats batteries.

Got a 12V sealed lad-acid battery which weighs about 5kg (11lb). Would it help stabilise the mount if I put it on the accessories tray:icon_scratch:

yes it will help so will these Misc’ - Celestron Vibration Suppression Pads they are made from the same material that high end hi fi stuff uses to suppress vibration as for shaking during focus that is quite common. lots of people use an electric focusser to solve this problem
