I am trying to play a solar imaging dvd on windows 7 quicktime player but i only get sound and no pictures. Can someone help please.

Sounds like you are missing a dvd codec.

Can you play other dvds?

you might like to install this pack of codecs. This covers most of te common ones.

Free-Codecs.com : Download K-Lite Codec Pack 6.7.0 FULL, K-Lite Codec Pack 6.7.0 STANDARD, K-Lite Codec Pack 6.7.0 BASIC : K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of codecs and related tools

pick the 6.7.0 full near the bottom.
