Hi all a few weeks ago a mate of mine took some video of jupiter with a SPC900NC and a celestron 127 powerseeker EQ he got good close views but jupiter was as bright as a star with no detail. How can this be overcome thanks in advance

You'll need to play around with the gain and shutter speeds. Have a look at the Planetary Imaging thread for better tips.
